Signet Rings
A signet ring is more than a piece of jewellery—it’s a personal symbol, crafted to last for generations. Traditionally engraved with a family crest, initials, or meaningful artwork, each ring tells a unique story. At Valour Stone, every signet ring is hand-engraved by a craftsman using deep seal techniques passed down through generations. No machines, no shortcuts—just skilled hands, time, and tradition. Whether you're continuing a family legacy or starting a new one, your signet ring will be made with care, precision, and purpose.

ENGRAVING
Your signet ring can be engraved with a design that holds deep personal significance. Choose a family crest or coat of arms to honour your heritage and carry your lineage with you. Opt for a monogram for a classic, personal touch—elegant initials that represent your name or a loved one’s.
We also welcome custom designs, allowing you to create something entirely unique—whether it's a symbol of strength, faith, or a meaningful artwork. Each engraving is hand-carved using traditional techniques, turning your ring into more than jewellery.
Head Size
The head size refers to the face of the ring — the flat surface that’s engraved. Selecting the right head size is essential to ensure your signet ring looks well-balanced on your finger and complements the proportions of your hand.
The ideal size will depend on which finger you plan to wear the ring on, as well as the size of your hands. We're always happy to offer guidance to help you choose a head size that feels right for you.

The head size also affects what level of engraving detail is possible — larger heads allow for more intricate designs, while smaller sizes suit more concentrated engravings.
Use our head size guide below: print it out, cut around the shapes, and place them on your finger to see which size feels and looks best.
Finger size
The most accurate way to find your ring size is to have your finger measured by a professional jeweller. However, if that's not possible, you can measure it at home using a strip of paper or string. Simply wrap it around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length between the two points. You can then use this measurement to find your ring size using a standard sizing chart.
Your ring should feel secure, but comfortable — snug enough that it won’t slip off, yet loose enough to slide over your knuckle when your hand is relaxed. It shouldn’t feel too tight or spin freely.
At Valour Stone, we offer free resizing on all our rings. If your ring isn’t quite the right fit, simply send it back and we’ll adjust it until it fits perfectly.
